A Doubles pickleball tournament open to all seniors (men and women ages 50 and up) nationwide.

Format:  Age group in 5 year increments, determined by the age of the youngest player on the team. The top 3 players in each age group win awards in their own age group.

This tournament will also serve as The Villages' Senior Games for pickleball.

The players' tournament will precede pickleball exhibitions by guest elite national players.

Pickleball Clinic, Emerald Island, NC

Emerald Isle Parks and Recreation will host a free Pickleball clinic this month for those interested in learning more about the game. The clinic will be held Aug. 22 at 10 a.m. at the Emerald Isle Community Center gymnasium. Pre-registration is required.

 Pickleball is played on a badminton court with the net lowered to 34 inches at the center. A perforated plastic ball similar to a whiffle ball and wood or composite paddles are used.

Rick Laskey, a USA Pickleball Association ambassador, will lead the clinic. Laskey, a volleyball player and national volleyball referee, took up pickleball after moving to Eastern North Carolina several years ago and has since participated in tournaments across the country, according to the clinic announcement.

MJCCA Pickleball Tournament

My name is Shanna Levy and I run the Pickle Ball League at the MJCCA in Dunwoody Georgia. We have 4 indoor Pickle Ball Courts and an average of 30 players that play 2-3 times per week.

 On Sunday, August 19th we will be hosting a Round Robin Pickle Ball Tournament and wanted to invite your club to play. We are now accepting registration for the MJCCA Pickle Ball Tournament. The online registration link is below; paper registration forms are available by request.

Daytona Beach Senior Pickleball Tournament

Where:   Pelican Bay Tennis/Pickleball Club, 110 Goshawk Drive, Daytona Beach, FL 32119

Stay in a hotel on the “World’s Most Famous Beach”.  Make your reservations early.  Transportation will be available from your hotel to the tournament.  Plenty of parking at the Club.
